Eat your hearts out suckah's....I had a whole bag of these things a couple days ago. I put some in some vegetable soup, and have had the most awesome mushroom omelets for breakfast everyday since. I remember hunting for morels with my dad many moons ago out in the woods when he stopped me in my tracks with a terse "dont' move"! I was standing in a huge patch of them and didn't even know it. We went home with a couple paper grocery bags full that day. I love them best breaded and fried in grease, but that just doesn't fit into the Weight Watchers manifesto, so I saute them with a little Pam and then dump a couple eggs in there. It's tasty and it's ok for the diet.
PS - tomorrow is my first WW weigh in and I think I'm about five pounds down. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Ooooooooooooh! Had I known.....

Hi! I always read your blog for the knitting, but I didn't know you were on ww. I did weight watchers 6 years ago and I lost 60 lbs!!! I still kept it off, and people now always tell me that they can't believe I was ever 60 lbs heavier. I can't believe it either. I'm just telling you this because you can do it! I love ww and I think it's great, and I think everyone should do it!

Dipped in flour, fried in butter. Yum. Though I really like the sponges too, not just the morels.

Oh Yay! It's wonderful that you're feeling good about your first WW weigh-in before you get there. We hunted morels when I was a little girl growing up in Michigan. I didn't know they grew so far south! What a jackpot for you to have found so many! Most people don't have a clue about them. :)

Wow, did you find those near your cabin? Very cool. And congrats on the WW success. You can do it!
