Your finger and toe crossings worked! This the newest member of my fiber fam, a handmade cherry wheel signed and dated by Carl Cahill, 1981. Anybody know anything about him? I Googled the name and haven't found anything. I need to get a couple extra bobbins made since it only came with the one on it, so I'm looking for a possible source for custom made bobbins.
I missed out on this wheel on Craigslist back in March, but kept in contact with the gal who beat me to it and she offered it to me when she decided to buy a smaller wheel. Thank you, Paula!
Beeeyooootiful!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!

I like it with the fiber hanging on the wall and the puppy toes. ;)

Cool! A lot more spinning in your future. Is it easier on your wrist than knitting?

Dear Kyra, I could not resist I HAD To see this wheel. It is GORGEOUS!!
I do not yet know a person who makes hand made bobbins.. If you post dimensions maybe we can all check it to our own bobbins? Maybe it matches someone's wheel.
My ashford is from around that time period a year or so later. I bought it used, and it has a nice finish but not as lovely as your cherry wheel.
have fun,
smiles,
grace
