Last week Chip left before me to head out to the cabin with his nephew, Taylor, for the holiday weekend. They wanted to get a head start on some construction work before our guests arrived for fun and relaxation. I packed up the car to head out with the dogs on Thursday. I ran up to the gas station to run the circus wagon through the car wash and gas it up before I loaded up all the critters. As I was leaving the gas station I noticed a warning light had illuminated on my dashboard. I got out the trusty owner's manual to see what was the matter and discovered it was a tire pressure warning. So I whipped a u-ey and headed back to the air hose to check it out....only all my tires were okey dokey. I called the dealership and talked to a very nice man in the service department and it went sorta like this:
Me: "So, I have this light on, on my dash, and it says it's a tire pressure warning, only I checked all my tires and they're all ok at 32 psi."
Toyota Service Guy: "What model Toyota do you have?"
Me: "It's a Rav4."
Toyota Service Guy: "Did you check your spare.? On those Rav4's it's usually the spare that does that."
Me: "Oh, it has a sensor too.?"
Toyota Service Guy: "Yep."
Me: "So, where exactly is the spare tire on my car, do I have to crank it down or anything?"
Folks....this is what the back of my car looks like...
Toyota Service Guy: "Generally, on the Rav4's the spare tire is on the back."
Me: .....hysterical laughter..... (and really really glad I hadn't given him my name)
