My first yarn pod.

Here it is plied.  The picture blows.  It's after midnight, I'm pooped, the light sucks, and the yarn is still wet from being washed.  It looks much better in person.  I think I'm gonna like this spinning business.....

Sneaky, sneaky...

My big brother has more natural artistic talent in his little finger than I have in my whole body.  I try to get him to draw for me, but he's kind of shy about it. So this afternoon I cleverly plied him with doodling material by leaving a mason jar full of colored pencils and a stack of paper out on the kitchen counter.  He couldn't resist and whipped this motorcycle out in about five minutes right before he left for dinner....
