One of my favorite "activities" is to prowl the thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales for things that speak to me. It can be anything from a mixing bowl that looks like the ones my mom made cookies in when I was a kid, to an old etching of trees (one of my favorite subjects!). But this time it was an antique photo of a unknown woman in a spectacular crocheted dress. I don't crochet, but I can appreciate it's beauty and work that must have gone into this garment!

I found this shoved to the back of a shelf behind all the knick knacks in a small booth way in the back of a huge antique mall. Everything was 30% off. Score!!!
