I was flipping through the Spring/Summer back issues of IK looking for a lace tank pattern for some Maggi's Linen I bought last week and ran across this. The Luxurious Secret lace tank from 2002 Summer Interweave Knits (issue is sold out, but you can still find them on eBay) It's a Lisa Lloyd design and calls for Jaggerspun Zephyr. I just happened to have a cone of it in the stash in the color "Ladyslipper" and decided to cast on and see what happened. It was pretty fiddly at first but I fell in love with the picot hem and this is where I am after three pattern repeats. I already made a mistake (left out a row of repeat #1) but that's good that that is out of the way! Kind of like putting a ding in your new car with a hammer to get the jinx off.
Even though I got a little sidetracked while looking for a pattern for the linen, I did eventually find a suitable one and have settled on the Lily Tank from Euroflax. The Maggi's Linen has a little less yardage in the ball than the Euroflax, but it's pretty close and I think it'll work just fine.
I finished the sod project last week:
No more weed patch! After 70 feet of steel edging and 55 square yards of sod, we have lawn, glorious lawn!
